As with any supplement, safety should be your top priority. Before beginning any new regimen, it’s important to understand whether NAD+ is right for you. Here, we will outline health conditions and circumstances where NAD+ may not be suitable, allowing you to make an informed decision about your wellness routine. If you have any further concerns, get in touch with our registered nurse Georgina, who is a qualified prescriber with over 15 years of clinical experience.

Can I take NAD+ whilst I’m pregnant?

No – you should not take NAD+ if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. There aren’t enough human studies involving pre-natal or antenatal women. With no reliable safety data, the effect of supplementing NAD+ on a developing foetus are unknown. The same is true for breast-fed babies; there’s not enough data to ensure safety with their growth and development.

Can I use NAD+ if I have active cancer / have a history of cancer?

We advise caution for those with active cancer, as the potential risks associated with NAD+ usage in this context remain uncertain. If you are in remission or have a history of cancer, we encourage you to reach out to your consultant for tailored advice and guidance on using NAD+ AT HOME.

Are NAD+ micro injectables safe to use?

Yes – NAD+ micro injectables are entirely safe when used correctly. They are designed with safety in mind. They use a similar technology to insulin injections, which have provided safe, secure, and sterile at-home usage since 1983.

However, as with any injectable, at home NAD+ injections and NAD pens can pose a risk if you don’t follow the correct protocol. Most importantly, never share your pen or re-use micro-needles. It’s also essential that you use the alcohol wipes provided, as instructed. If you need any further support, use the below guides or get in touch with our registererd nurse, Georgina.

Is it safe to take NAD+ daily? What’s the best routine?

For those who don’t have any NAD+ contraindications, yes, it is safe to use NAD+ on a daily basis.
However, we recommend following the below schedule:

Initial phase:
One 25ml injection per day for the first three days

Maintenance phase:
A single 25ml injection every two days thereafter

This routine will help you achieve strong baseline NAD+ levels in the short term and maintain consistently high levels going forward. If you are already supplementing NAD, we recommend going straight into the maintenance phase and administering NAD+ once every two days.

Is NAD+ legal in the UK?

Yes, NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is legal in the UK. It does not yet have medicinal status but remains a legal supplement. Until more human trials and clinical studies have been completed, it will keep it’s supplement status.

Can I share my NAD+ AT HOME Kit with a friend?

While it might be tempting to share the benefits of your NAD+ AT HOME Kit with a friend, we strongly advise against it.

Sharing any components of your NAD+ supplement kit, such as the vial or micro injectables, could lead to cross-contamination and a decrease in effectiveness.

To ensure the best possible outcome for both you and your friend, it’s a great idea to each order your own NAD+ AT HOME Kit. That way, you can both experience the potential advantages while sticking to the recommended guidelines, all within a safe and hygienic environment.

What should I do if I accidentally take too much?

If you happen to take more than the suggested amount, don’t worry! The NAD+ in your vial is designed with safety in mind, containing levels that your body can handle. However, it’s always best to stick to the recommended dosage for optimal results.

In case you do take extra, keep in mind that your body may not effectively absorb or break down the excess NAD supplement. While it’s generally not a cause for concern, it’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional if you have any doubts or experience any unusual symptoms.

Are there side effects from NAD+ AT HOME?

The majority of individuals do not encounter any adverse effects from using NAD+ AT HOME.

Should you experience any sensitivity after using the micro-injectables, consider selecting a different site on your body for the next injection. As with any side effect, if symptoms continue, cease use and get in touch with our team.

NAD+ Usage Instructions & Timing

Getting the most from your NAD+ AT HOME kit means knowing when, where, and how often to administer your injections or take your capsules. This section provides practical guidance on establishing an effective routine and choosing the best injection sites to maximize comfort and results while minimising irritation.

What does the NAD+ solution contain and what colour should it be?

Our NAD+ solution contains NAD+ in it’s active form and a very small amount of sterile solution. This ensures maximum quality, with no unnecessary additives to stabilise colouring. We offer a Certificate of Analysis with every order so you can see the laboratory results, identifying exactly what’s contained in NAD+ At Home solution and it’s purity.

On the topic of colour, because NADH (the base form of NAD+) has a yellow tint, the solution can sometimes take on a slight yellow tint. This is perfectly normal.

Where is best to inject?

NAD+ syringes and pens are intended for subcutaneous injections, which involve administering the injection just under the skin, into fatty tissue.

We suggest using areas like the stomach, hips, or buttocks. To administer, pinch the skin tightly between your finger and thumb with one hand, and with the syringe in your other hand, inject at a 45-degree angle.

It’s important to rotate the injection site each time to avoid skin irritation. It’s normal to occasionally experience a bruise or a small bump at the injection site; simply make sure to inject in a different area for your next dose.

What time of day is best to inject?

We typically recommend the morning so that any increases to energy are in sync with your circadian rhythm and don’t disturb your sleep. However, there’s no problem if you’d prefer to do it at lunchtime, early evening, or even before a workout.

The most important thing is to remain consistent. By sticking to the same time each day, you’ll help your body acclimatise to it’s new routine and keep your many bodily rhythms in sync and working efficiently.

Can I use my NAD+ At Home micro injectables on other parts of my body?

Yes, you can use your NAD+ At Home micro-injectables on other recommended body parts. They are designed for subcutaneous injections into areas with fatty tissue, not just one specific area.

The recommended injection sites are the stomach (abdomen), outer thigh, and the back of the upper arm. It is important to rotate the injection site each time you use the product to avoid skin irritation, bruising, or the formation of small bumps/nodules.
Important Guidelines
  • Subcutaneous Use: The micro-injectables, both in the injection kit and the NAD pen, are specifically intended for subcutaneous use (just under the skin into the fatty layer), not for intravenous or intramuscular use.
  • Rotate Sites: Always select a different site for each injection to minimise potential discomfort or irritation
  • Follow Instructions: Adhere to the complete instructions provided with your kit or pen for safe and effective use.
  • Consult a Professional: If you experience any persistent irritation or have underlying health conditions, consult a healthcare professional for advice.

What is the difference between NAD+ and NADH?

NAD+ and NADH are two different forms of the same molecule, with NAD+ being the oxidized version and NADH the reduced form. NAD+ is known for its remarkable bioavailability and potential benefits, while NADH doesn’t share the same level of impact. NAD+ AT HOME is currently the only self-administering NAD+ micro injectable available in the UK and Europe, providing a convenient option without the need for a clinic appointment or IV infusion.

How are NAD+ AT HOME micro injectables different from NAD+ oral supplements?

NAD+ AT HOME micro injectables offer a distinct advantage over oral supplements when it comes to raising your NAD+ levels. The challenge with oral NAD supplements is that NAD+ is not easily broken down in the stomach, which hinders its bioavailability. By using micro injectables, you can bypass the digestive process altogether, enabling your body to absorb and make the most of NAD+ efficiently and effectively.

Will I feel anything negative after administering NAD+?

Most people don’t experience any side effects, and report feeling alert and energised. If you do feel anything unusual, such as a temporary fatigue for a day or 2, which can happen but is rare, stop using and email doctor@nadaid.co.uk.

How long will it take before I feel the benefits / see results?

The time it takes to feel the benefits or see results from using NAD+ AT HOME can vary depending on your individual health goals and how your body responds to the supplement. Some people experience an instant energy boost, while others may notice a more gradual improvement in recovery. Chatting with our specialist team can help you better understand what to expect for your specific situation. Technical & Administration Tips

Mastering the practical aspects of self-administration ensures a smooth, comfortable experience with NAD+. This section offers helpful techniques for handling common challenges, from eliminating air bubbles to extracting every last drop from your vial, making the injection process as straightforward as possible.

How do I open my NAD vial? It doesn’t seem to have a lid.

Your vial of NAD+ arrives sealed with a metal top.

Before you begin your supplementation, you simply need to remove and discard the inner metal circle and then you are ready to insert the syringe easily into the centre.

Wipe the top with an antiseptic swab before each use and store the vial in the fridge for optimal freshness.

How can I easily eliminate air bubbles from my vial?

There are multiple methods for ridding air bubbles from your vial.

1. Gently tap the vial: Hold the vial between your thumb and index finger, and gently tap it with your other hand. This will help the air bubbles rise to the top of the liquid.

2. Flick the vial: Another option is to flick the vial lightly with your finger. This can also help dislodge any stubborn air bubbles and make them rise to the surface.

3. Swirl the vial: Gently swirl the vial in a circular motion to encourage the bubbles to rise to the top.

4.Let the vial sit: If the bubbles are persistent, allow the vial to sit undisturbed for a short period of time. The bubbles should gradually rise to the surface on their own.

How do I get the last of the liquid out of the vial?

There are multiple ways to make getting the last of your liquid out of the vial.

1. Tilt and Swirl
: Tilt the vial slightly so the liquid gathers in one corner. Gently swirl it to help gather the remaining liquid towards the opening.

2. Use of Syringe: Make sure the needle is correctly positioned in the area where the liquid is pooled. You might need to tilt the vial as you draw up the liquid.

3. Tap the Vial: Gently tap the sides of the vial to move the liquid towards the bottom or the syringe entry point. This can help consolidate the liquid and make it easier to draw.

4. Air Bubble Technique: Insert the syringe needle into the vial, then push a little air into the vial. This increases the pressure inside, which can help force the last of the liquid into the syringe when you invert the vial.

Will the injection hurt?

The injection can sting sometimes & bruises are not uncommon. Try removing the NAD+ from the fridge for 30 minutes beforehand as it can sting more when it’s cold.

Try various injection sites and a new one each time and a 45-degree angle can help. We hear frequently from customers that 1 day it can sting and feel a little sore afterwards & other days it’s painless and sting-free.

What should I do if I bruise?

If you develop a bruise after an injection, fear not. Employ these helpful strategies to bring you quick relief:

If you feel pain immediately after injecting, apply gentle pressure on the site to help prevent the development of a bruise. Do not massage or rub the injection site, as this will make the bruise worse. Treat the affected area with ice. Do not inject the NAD+ supplement on or near the site until the bruise has healed completely. If the pain is significant, contact your doctor and medical team.

What if I run out of injectables before my vial is empty?

No worries if you happen to run out of injectables before your vial is empty! Ideally, using the recommended amount of NAD+ should help both components last the same duration. However, if you do find yourself in need of more injectables, simply give our friendly sales team a call, and they’ll be more than happy to assist you with your requirements.

Storage & Disposal

Proper storage is essential for maintaining the potency and effectiveness of your NAD+ AT HOME product. Equally important is ensuring you dispose of micro-needles from your pen or injection kit in a safe and considered manner. This section will provide all you need to know about disposing of NAD+ products, alongside addressing common concerns about temperature sensitivity and keeping your NAD+ product in optimal condition.

No-one was home to receive my order. Will the NAD+ be ok unrefrigerated?

To put your mind at ease, NAD remains stable at room temperature for several weeks. It only begins to degrade after being exposed to temperatures above 30°C / 85°F for a few days. Even then, it is not harmful, though it may lose some efficacy.

For your convenience, we include a cool pack under the bottom carton to maintain optimal conditions in transit.

For optimal freshness, we recommend storing NAD in the refrigerator upon arrival and after opening, keeping it away from bright light and extreme heat.

I dropped my injectable on the floor. Can I still use it?

If you happen to drop your micro-injectable on the floor, it’s best not to use it, as it may have been contaminated. Just dispose of the dropped micro injectable in the provided sharps bin and grab a fresh one to ensure cleanliness and safety.

How should I dispose of the needles and vial?

Dispose of any used items, such as your empty vial and needles, in the designated sharps bin. When disposing of needles, it’s important to be cautious and ensure that they are not sticking out of the bin. This helps ensure a clean and responsible process.

What is the shelf life of the NAD+ product?

Once opened, the product is good for 3 months. If unopened, it maintains its quality for 12 months.
